Are there any entry requirements for the training Prio1 offers?
There are no specific entry requirements.
Every crew member, regardless of their role, experience, or age, can join our training. -
Does Prio1 Onboard Medical and Safety Training replace the official STCW training?
No. Prio1 is an essential addition to the STCW training, and does not replace the mandatory STCW training. For the possibility of any exemptions within the mandatory STCW training, please contact the training institution where you will be taking the STCW course.

I already have my STCW. What is the benefit of doing the Prio1 Onboard Medical and Safety Training?
Proficiency in acute life-saving actions does not come naturally.
It is widely recognised that acquired knowledge and skills can quickly fade or even be forgotten if they are not regularly maintained and practiced.
A training cycle of five years is insufficient to keep this knowledge and these skills at the required level, increasing the risk of errors or failure in medical emergency situations.
In emergencies, it ís essential to act swiftly and correctly to maximise the victim’s chances of survival. Regular training ensures that knowledge remains up-to-date, skills stay at high standard, and crew members can respond with confidence and efficiency when emergency situations do occur. -

Yes, Prio1 offers support in implementing the mandatory medical and safety drills. We are happy to work alongside you in developing the content and appropriate scenarios, carefully tailored to the crew’s learning needs, the operating area, and the activities of both crew members and guests.
